“A respected boater friend highly recommended Steve Dittoe, owner of Everett Yachts. We talked to Steve and explained our wants and needs. It was clear that Steve’s only motivation was to find us the right boat. He located three for us to travel north to see. Two were very acceptable. The third was on an inland lake in Canada, about five hours from the Pacific coast. Naturally, that was the perfect boat. Steve very expertly helped in negotiating our offer, which was accepted. He then arranged and attended the survey and sea trial. He coordinated and handled all the details for preparing the boat for transport, shrink wrapping, loading, and trucking to Bellingham, Washington. His documentation firm handled all the documentation details for a smooth and seamless transfer of title to the United States without any Canadian tax load. He counseled us and kept us informed every step of the way. There were several bumps in the road with a somewhat grumpy seller, but Steve very calmly and methodically worked them out. He then sold our 270 Sea Ray in about two weeks to a good and experienced caretaker, which was essential to us for our asking price. Working with Steve in the purchasing and selling has been a true pleasure.”
